" Recorded in isolation during the early pandemic; out of work and stuck indoors with little money and not much to do... I had bought about $500 worth of MDMA and empty pill capsules from a friend, with the intention of flipping the product at local parties and keeping a pretty pocket of molly for myself as well. Instead, the world shut down. The dancefloors closed. And I was alone, in my apartment, just me and my big bag of molly... This is where Broken Dream Machine came from. A life style put on hold and a future left hanging in the balance; serotonin levels wavering wildly and a broken drum machine, midi keyboard and a cracked version of FL Studio 11. The drugs ran out and Sangamon's sound (d)evolved into something more nasty and industrial sounding but this tape will remain as an artifact to those strange spring and summer days of 2020... "
